Counter Module:

The counter module captures and processes rapid pulse sequences from sensors. It consists of a counter input (source), a control input (gate) and a switching output (configurable using parameters) that is set independently from the hardware module. This achieves fast reaction times independently of the bus and control.
The module can be operated using four different operating modes. These operating modes are: frequency measurement, event counting, time tracking and pulse generator. Sensors with 24Vdc and 5Vdc supply can be connected to the module.

Encoder Module:

The Inline incremental encoder (symmetrical or asymmetrical) module allows for smooth positioning of drives. This module provides 5Vdc and 24Vdc for the connection of an encoder and it is equipped with 4 digital inputs at 24Vdc and 4 digital outputs at 24vdc with 500mA. The digital inputs provide connections for position limit switches and reference mark switches, and the digital outputs set the direction and speed of movement using drive data.
PROFIBUS and DeviceNet Function Modules:
Allows for the inclusion of fieldbus masters in the system. Note: Only useable with L40.2
