DT60 Long Range Distance Sensor

Using time-of-flight technology, the DT60 laser distance sensor enables accurate measurement of distances up to 5.3m. Using visible class 2 laser light, this sensor is easy to align to the target which can have any colour and be matt or shinny. Using a simple push to teach process, the 4-20mA analogue values produced by the DT60 can be adjusted to utilise the full range of the A-D converter in the PLC or control unit. The unit also produces a PNP switched output at a user defined position.

Note

Distance measurement of up to 5.3m is freely selectable (may be selected anywhere between 0.2m and 5.3m). On a white target, max. distance reduces for darker colours e.g. 5m with 18% remission (grey), or 2.8m with 6% remission (black). Repeatability is most important when using the sensor in positioning applications. Accuracy is most important when using the sensor in measuring applications.
